we do actually get the occasional question about why hstore is not at least in contrib on IRC. I guess some of those questions might be the result of the confusing(wrong) wording on the website which says "Stable version, included into PostgreSQL distribution, released under BSD license" on http://www.sai.msu.su/~megera/oddmuse/index.cgi?Hstore .
