Right, what I'm saying is that in RT it's more flexible; you can set it up to send mail for the things *you* think people should know about. Also, BZ and most bug tracking systems make it hard to keep email as the communication mechanism of choice. Most of them (like BZ) just send you email with URLs to click to go to the web. There's also the Debian bug tracking system. It also works well with a mailing list set to be the maintainer. Then everyone on the mailing list gets every update on any bug. And you can update or close bugs by just sending email.
