ISTM this would be fixed with a smaller footprint by just making if (PageGetHeapFreeSpace(page) < MAXALIGN(heaptup->t_len) + saveFreeSpace) if (!PageIsEmpty(page) && PageGetHeapFreeSpace(page) < MAXALIGN(heaptup->t_len) + saveFreeSpace) I think that should work?
