While reviewing the SQL/MED patch, I happened to notice that ExecAlterObjectSchemaStmt calls AlterTableNamespace with a lock mode argument of AccessExclusiveLock. Does anyone see a reason why ShareUpdateExclusiveLock would be insufficient?
