I'm thinking about removing IncrRetrieved(), IncrAppended(), etc altogether. That code's been dead for a long time, and it's one of the minor details cluttering the nodeDml patch. Can anyone see any likelihood of wanting it some day? AFAICS the explain infrastructure has completely superseded these static counters.
