Frankly, if that's the biggest 7.0-to-7.1 compatibility problem that we see, I'll be surprised (and pleased). This isn't a problem for precompiled PHP distributions, and it's a trivial fix for those working from source. So I don't feel a need to go through any major pushups to deal with it. regards, tom lane
