"Writing" output lines during make

During make --silent, I occasionally see these lines:

        Writing postgres.bki
        Writing schemapg.h
        Writing postgres.description
        Writing postgres.shdescription

I can't seem to find where these lines are being output, perhaps from a
Perl library.  I would like to suppress them but I don't know how.
