I think this is an ad hominum attack. I have explained some factors that are relevant from my point of view, and that explain some of the behavior you don't like. I have already said several times that the implementation might not be up to the mark, and I apologize for that. If you want to interpret the current state of affairs as being 0% attributable to a difference of opinion between reasonable people about what the behavior ought to be, and 100% due to laziness or cowardliness on my part and the part of the other people involved in these patches, I cannot prevent you from doing so. However, I think that judgement is inaccurate. More importantly, I think it's a nasty sentiment which is inappropriate on this mailing list or in any other civilized discourse.
