Hi Upgrade works when you have an existing Postgres installation with server running. If you run the following command then it will upgrade the existing installation of postgre. sudo dnf install -y postgresql13-server
But you don't need to execute the below commands as this will create data directory and start the server on it. sudo /usr/pgsql-13/bin/postgresql-13-setup initdb sudo systemctl enable postgresql-13 sudo systemctl start postgresql-13 You just need to install the version of postgres you need and it will upgrade the existing installation and you just need to restart the server. sudo systemctl restart postgresql-13 The following commands you mentioned are going to setup the repos for postgres which will used to download and install postgres packages. # Install the RPM from the repository: sudo dnf install -y https://download.postgresql.org/pub/repos/yum/reporpms/EL-8-x86_64/pgdg-redhat-repo-latest.noarch.rpm But you done need to disable it as this will disable the repo you installed above. sudo dnf -qy module disables postgresql Regards Kashif Zeeshan Bitnine Global On Fri, May 3, 2024 at 7:28 PM •Isaac Rv <isaacrodr...@gmail.com> wrote: > Hola, estos son los pasos que me dan > > Pero esto es solamente para instalar el Yum?
