thanks for the links. I've had a quick look at the first two and comment my findings:

Yeah, perl is better with me ;-) Anyway, 2003 also isn't that up-to-date either. ~770 lines of code, but that might very well be sufficient in many cases.

And as David Fetter pointed out, it's dangerous to rely on such tools, as they can never replace a change control process.
