I'm wondering if you are missing this 8.0.5 fix: 2005-10-20 12:14 tgl * contrib/pg_autovacuum/pg_autovacuum.c (REL8_0_STABLE): Prevent core dump in contrib version of autovacuum when a table has been dropped.
