However, this makes the output of \d completely useless. Maybe my rule definitions are atypically complex, but having 300+ lines of RULE definitions in my face gets in the way. The output for one particular view fills my scrollback buffer such that I can't get to the actual view definition! :(
What about moving the RULE definition output to \d+? According to the online help, the '+' is supposed to mean "more detail".
Alternatively, maybe a new command, \dr <viewname> to list out only the rules for the specified view (or table)?
Anyways, thanks for the hard work on 8.0. Can't wait for it to get out of beta!
