Is there a way from C++ to essentailly use postgresql as an embedded database? I have a situation where I'd rather have a postgrtes daemon running on my customer's machine except when my client application is up. Preferably I'd like to not have to establish a network connection, and hence use the daemon at all, to the datbase but just perform queries from my c++ code. I've only used postgresql over the net, with a daemon, and JDBC which is the traditional method so this is new territory. Can anyone point me in the right direction in the docs?
Thanks in advance for the help. -Gregory ===== -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Gregory Stone | "Suppose you were an idiot, and suppose you were [EMAIL PROTECTED] | a member of congress; but I repeat myself." | - Mark Twain ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
