Is postgresql have an axisting solution for distibuting the databse amoungst several servers, so that each one holds a subset of the data and queries are passed to each one and then collated by a master server?
I have heard erServer mentioned but i got the impression this might just be for backup and load balancing, and every server would hold all the data? Would i be better heading to the performance forums for this type of question, and questions regarding iminent hardware purchase?
