Seems like you can't revoke privileges you didn't grant,
even as superuser.

Try:

SET SESSION AUTHORIZATION akretschmer01;
REVOKE ALL ON SCHEMA PUBLIC FROM ak02;
RESET SESSION AUTHORIZATION;
DROP USER ak02;
