stderr goes to the PostgreSQL log files, so you need to look in the Pg
logs. These are in /var/lib/pgsql/data/pg_log or
/var/lib/pgsql/[version]/data/pg_log on Red Hat / Fedora systems, and in
/var/log/postgresql/ on Debian/Ubuntu systems.
You're looking for something like:
