Good morning,

I recently installed PostgreSQL 9.0 on Windows XP with the intent to use the
crosstab function in one of my PostgreSQL databases. I have a complete install,
the process is running in Task Manager, and I've been able to run basic
commands. However, getting crosstab working (and installing tablefunc) have
been an issue that perhaps you can clear up.

As I understand it, all I should need to do to install tablefunc is run
/share/contrib/tablefunc.sql either through pgAdmin or the command line. In
either case, I'm getting the error "ERROR: could not access file
"$libdir/tablefunc": No such file or directory". I've checked to make sure that
the $libdir variable is pointing to the correct place, and have tried editing
the sql file itself to make sure it's pointing to the correct place.

Are there any additional steps I need to perform before I can get tablefunc
installed? Do I need to download the contrib files separately? It appears that
they exist as they should, with tablefunc.sql existing in the /contrib folder
and a tablefunc.dll existing in the /lib folder. If I do need to install
something additional, where can I find the necessary files? My google searches
have yet to turn up a place to install the packages for Windows.

Thanks in advance for your help,
Ian Miller
