BEGIN TRANSACTION;

DROP VIEW someView ...;

ALTER TABLE DROP COLUMN someColumn1, DROP COLUMN someColumn2;

CREATE VIEW someView AS ...;

COMMIT; --Wait for pre-existing locks to complete and hope your client
app doesn't break.
