Hello,

this might not be the best place to ask, but has there been any further progress or an alternative project to Florian Pflug's SoC 2007 proposal about enabling PITR slaves to serve read-only queries? It seems like an elegant way to load-balance a PostgreSQL database with very little overhead.

This was the original thread: http://archives.postgresql.org/pgsql-hackers/2007-03/msg00050.php

Thanks,
-mjy
