Because my data has \ 's in it, when I tried "psql template1 < db.out", everything went crazy. I've been given a solution that would fix this, but I'm not quite sure it will work with my data - but what would happen if I simply moved the $PGDATA/base/<mydatabase> <mydatabase> ??
