Windows ping only says:
bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64

But Linux ping does say:
icmp_seq=8 ttl=64 time=0.236 ms (I picked the worse one).

So even with 1K round-trips, that should account only for +/- 250ms (1/10th
the total). --DD
