I don't know it, but pseudo. select GET_JSON_FIELD_VALUE( 'name', FROM_JSON_TEXT( '{name:' || chr(39) || thistable.thisfield || chr(39) || '}' ) ) from thistable or use FORMAT instead of CONCAT.
