Yes, specifying an environment variable in the explorer works. This is in line with what src/port/path.c does, so I see no actual bugs here. If we were to change this path, I would be scared about the amount of breakages this would create, see a3f98d5 from 2005 that began using %APPDATA% as equivalent for $HOME. -- Michael
