To add to the confusion: When I just copy the build from HP-UX 11.31 over to 11.23, all seems to work fine. I *DO* expect that to work the other way around, but this experiment just worked which is a huge surprise to me. I tried to build 8.4.7, because 9.0.3 failed soon after start, because 11.23 doesn't have HP-UX 11.23 doesn't seem to have "struct lifconf" defined anywhere, so starting with 8.4.7 sounded like a more sane idea FWIW I also tried with 9.0.3 and SIOCGLIFCONF undefined and IPV6 disabled, but that ended up with the same FATAL incompatible library > regards, tom lane > > PS: please don't send these types of questions to individuals.
