The following bug has been logged online: Bug reference: 3835 Logged by: Leonid Rozenblyum Email address: [EMAIL PROTECTED] PostgreSQL version: 8.0.14 Operating system: Linux Description: TZ doesn't work Details:
I need to convert string with timezone into timestamp with timezone. Example from docs without timezone works OK: Code: Select all SELECT to_timestamp( '05 JAN 2000+00', 'DD MON YYYY' ) According to the specification I've tries to convert the string like: Code: Select all select to_timestamp( '05 Dec 2000 00:00 UTC', 'DD Mon YYYY HH24:MI TZ' ) or Code: Select all select to_timestamp( 12 Jan 2000 04:00 -05', 'DD Mon YYYY HH24:MI TZ' ) but received an error: ERROR: "TZ"/"tz" not supported Documentation for my postgre version says that TZ is supported. Is this a bug in postgre or in docs? ---------------------------(end of broadcast)--------------------------- TIP 5: don't forget to increase your free space map settings
