I was trying a fairly vanilla installation on Windows Vista, and received the following error: Failed to run initdb: 1! In the logfile, the description was: The program "postgres" is needed by initdb but was not found in the same directory as "C:/Program Files/PostgreSQL/8.2/bin/initdb". Check your installation. There is a file named postgres.exe in the specified directory. Is this a Vista issue (although it doesn't appear to be) or anything else previously reported?
