It's very easy to use the .src.rpm from PGDG to recreate a binary RPMs in Mandrakelinux. In fact I used to do that back when I used Mandrake, not many months ago. You just need to install the rpm-build package and follow the standard Mandrake instructions for building packages. See the Cooker documentation on that.
