I just committed a fix for this because I was able to reproduce it. You can optionally pass a wxWindow to wxSafeYield to prevent it from disabling input from that one window, which is what I have done to allow the cancel button to be pressed. I'm not entirely sure why we don't just use wxYield here and allow the rest of the UI to be usable as well - is there a reason for that Andreas, or is this just an oversight?
