Google is also making it difficult for commercial users to turn off Gemini
for their orgs
= = =
To wit, this comment I received today:
Even Workspace admins currently can not disable this. You can disable the
Gemini App / gemini dot google dot com, but unless you win a support ticket
roulette try you have no control over it getting pushed to your users via
Gmail, docs, drive, etc. Further, And even worse, direct copy paste from
the empty "Gemini for workspace" settings page:
Choose whether to turn on access to features in a Workspace service. Keep
in mind, even if you turn features off for a service, users can ask about
an item in that service via Gemini from another service. Learn more about
included features <https://support.google.com/a/answer/15698295>.
Note: This setting applies only once features are available to your
organization.
But that same page has no settings, at all, despite Gemini being pushed at
my Org since November.
