Here's another lie from Google AI Overviews. There are many older
residential buildings in NYC of significantly more than three stories
that do not have elevators. They are generally not required to
retrofit them. These older buildings are widespread, especially in
older neighborhoods.

I asked Google Search about this. The answer didn't make sense, saying
there were very few buildings like this, and that if there were three
or more stories an elevator was required. That didn't sound right at
all. Turns out it's flat wrong. The rule now for new construction is
elevator required if there are five or more stories. That makes a big
difference.

Google used to be trustworthy for answers, especially involving
straightforward facts, not any more. Disgraceful. -L
