Indeed, the kernel can't write to a GELI device.  Easiest would be to disable
swap encryption.  Alternately, it might be possible to explicitly tell the
kernel to dump to the partition underlying the GELI volume, i.e., set dumpdev
explicitly in rc.conf, but I can't say for sure that that would work.  "dumpon
-l" is handy for seeing whether your kernel has a dump device configured.
