Hey All,
One of the Lawyers here at work has an Acer Asipre Corei5 Ultrabook he
states that it will not power on. It stopped charging first then when
the battery went was dead.
I ripped the Hard Disk out of it and gave him that. He's given up on
the Laptop as our support companies recon it would take about £100 to
repair (Owing to it being something power circuit related.
So does anyone know anywhere in Peterborough that I might get it
repaired for cheaper than the £100 we've been quoted?

It depends on the nature of the problem, of course. Get the exact
model, and see how much parts are on ebay, add 40-00 or so for labour,
and you have your own estimates.
I've repaired a few laptops, they were mainly motherboard replacements.
I did have 1 machine though that only required a 2-00 replacement power
connector.
I hope that helps.
Thanks,
Jon
