Hello Phil, I feel very sad that you felt unwelcome. I'm really sorry about that. We're very informal and we just sit about, chatting and fiddling with kit, anything from a raspberry pi to a desktop machine carried in and plonked on the table.
People are approachable so do come and give it another try. Say hello and feel welcome. Bring a laptop or tablet or something to sit and amuse yourself with if you like, or alternatively just have a look at what others are doing. They invariably respond happily to questions. Some will be looking knowledgeably at screen of code whilst others (like me) will be failing to get Linux to do very much at all. See you tonight, hopefully.
