Hi all, Just a quick update from last night, I've now tried Mint 16, Mint17rc2, Ubuntu 13.10 and Knoppix 7.0.5 and none of them are able to get a gui running - Knoppix actually locked up the pc and required a hard reset. I will try again when new versions come out but so far HP Pavilion Touchsmart 15 laptops appear totally linux resistant. Thanks for all the help and advice last night Regards Stuart L.
