My main Kubuntu 12.10 system has been a bit unstable recently, so in order to kill or cure I decided to upgrade early to 13.04 (which hasn't even reached first beta yet).
Imagine my horror when midway through the process of installing the updates we had a power cut and my PC lost power. Aaaarrggghhhhh!! Except that it was all a bit of an anti-climax - it booted fine, and "sudo dpkg --configure -a" finished the job (it even prompted me to do it as soon as I tried an apt-get update). So I'm now running on 13.04 and hardly any of my hair got pulled out or went grey in the process! Now, time to do some real work :-) [The power cut did manage to kill one Dell 24-port managed gigabit switch, which was a surprise. I guess you can't have everything.] -- Mark Rogers // More Solutions Ltd (Peterborough Office) // 0844 251 1450 Registered in England (0456 0902) @ 13 Clarke Rd, Milton Keynes, MK1 1LG _______________________________________________ Peterboro mailing list Peterboro@mailman.lug.org.uk https://mailman.lug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/peterboro
