Hi Mark

I've noticed PLUG mentioned a few times in Linux Format over the last year,
and that's always nice to see.

I actually sought out Peterborough LUG a year or so ago - not because I saw it
in Linux Format, but because I didn't!

I did attend about three or four of your meetings around Autumn/Winter
2010-2011, but must admit they weren't really to my taste. Don't get me wrong
- everyone was very pleasant and welcoming - but found that much of the uses I
make of Linux (mainly in the desktop home and office user & multimedia arena)
felt out of place amongst many of the attendees who seemed more interested in
Sysadmin and programming matters.

Although I stopped attending, I'm still around on the mailing list, and anyone
with any video or photo editing, desktop publishing or home/office application
issues are always areas I can try to help. I'm also interested in getting
Windows home or small office users to convert to Linux, but I suspect all of us
might know something about that!

Regards

Chris
