I too recall the rugby club - I think the problem with it at the time was getting internet access set up - iirc we needed to set a bridge sorted to solve that problem but I can't remember if we managed it, does anyone know?
I'm not sure how busy 'The College Arms' gets on a tuesday evening, but I recall reading that many of the weatherspoons chain of pubs have wifi available. If nothing else we can meet up and discuss how to move the PLUG forward, if we can organise a regular meeting place and whether we should start having organised talks with subjects that have been mentioned in previous listings on the mailing list (iirc computer forensics was one). If wifi isn't available it will restrict what we can do - but I'm only thinking about meeting in a pub as a temporary solution. 2010/1/20 richard rjsad <rjs...@hotmail.com> > what about the rugby club i recall gong down there for a meeting way back > in the summer 08 it might still be a option > > > From: stuart.lon...@gmail.com > > To: peterboro@mailman.lug.org.uk > > Date: Tue, 19 Jan 2010 16:36:37 +0000 > > Subject: [Peterboro] January's meeting > > > > > Hi all, > > > > Just a quick email to remind everyone that the January meeting is due in > > one week. > > > > Does anyone have ideas for location or subject matter? > > > > Maybe it would be a good idea to meet in a family friendly pub if we > > can't find anywhere else to meet and we could then discuss how to move > > forward with the monthly 'get togethers' (I think it's best to call them > > this until we get a little more organised). > > > > I'm hoping people will reply with constructive contributions to this > > email but please feel free to reply just to confirm your interest in > > meeting up. > > > > Regards > > Stuart L. > > ------------------------------ > We want to hear all your funny, exciting and crazy Hotmail stories.
