I have instaled the iplayer downloader tool http://po-ru.com/projects/iplayer-downloader/ and it works fine (Xubuntu 9.04)
The command to run it is a bit clunky /var/lib/gems/1.8/bin/iplayer-dl so I would like to create a link to this so I just type 'iplayer-dl' from the directory where I want the download to land.
