Or switch away from Debian? Debian's policy is the "problem" - it's a laudable policy and I'm really not going to criticise it, and I admire anyone with the principles to stick with it. But if you're looking to pull the soundfusion code into your install you've already decided to be more pragmatic in which case using a more pragmatic distro would be easier. Going back to Xubuntu would be my recommendation if you want things to "work". Building a kernel isn't too painful and is probably something you should persevere with as a learning exercise (sorry I can't really help you, it's been a long time since I did it). But after you're done and proved you can do it (or not!) re-install Xubuntu. Or look at Gentoo (or one of its derivatives) if you want to get into custom builds. -- Mark Rogers // More Solutions Ltd (Peterborough Office) // 0845 45 89 555 Registered in England (0456 0902) at 13 Clarke Rd, Milton Keynes, MK1 1LG _______________________________________________ Peterboro mailing list Peterboro@mailman.lug.org.uk https://mailman.lug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/peterboro
