Integration between systems has always been a weak point, which I've 
never really understood; creating a suitable API for a forum login ought 
to be pretty simple (at least compared to the rest of the work required 
to make a good forum application).

Most CMS packages I've seen do have some kind of integrated forum, but 
whether the built in forum is any good is another matter.
