As you may noticed from an earlier e-mail I have been unable to send
e-mail from sons internet connection. He is on Tiscali broadband with tv
attached, I can receive messages but not send. The attached is the error
message which I get when trying to send a message. by the way I can send
via Yahoo messenger but nothing else even when using Ubuntu I cannot get
out. So has anybody got any ideas what the error means.

Server: 'smtp.ntlworld.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '421

you are configured to use NTL's SMTP (sending) server. It won't accept
connections from outside NTL's network.

You need the SMTP server for your current network, try

smtp.Homechoice.co.uk

if that's no good then

smtp.tiscali.co.uk
