Dear Cristina,

they really like as hatched insect eggs! May be of some coleopteran species
e.g. Dermestidae (carpet beetle)

Sincerely

Barbara

Oggetto: [PestList] Insect eggs?

Hello all -
We found some odd "egg" looking things on an artifact (they were found on
cotton fibers, the object itself is a wooden mask).

We aren't sure what they are, they look somewhat like insect eggs that maybe
have already hatched? Has anyone ever seen anything like these before?

Many thanks,

Christina
