They may have entered via an open door or window, or in the soil of potted plants. What to do? Smile. They pose no risk to people, the building, or the contents. They're not museum pests. There's no need to do anything other than remove their carcasses once they perish. However, as we unpacked and installed over the last month, we did not notice any of these insects in the packaging or on the artworks. My team mentioned that they were flying up into the ceiling where it is covered by a panel and hollow on the other side Here are some images of the fly/bee.
