In my career as an entomologist, specializing in historic properties, libraries and museums, I’ve run into book infestations in several instances, including a very heavy one in Israel. If you find quite a few books infested, I suggest a chest type freezer and freezing the books for at least 72 hours. Wrap each book in a polyethylene bag to prevent ice crystal formation on the book cover.
Larval excrement usually rains out of the book onto the shelving. With a flashlight, it’s fairly easy to inspect rows of books on shelves for signs of frass.

Hi Margaret
Be aware that the adult beetles you photographed are "Berlin Beetle" - Trogoderma angustum, not the Drugstore Beetle (Stegobium paniceum). [And I think the larvae are too.]
As far as I know, treatment would be very similar for either species.
Best wishes
Tony

Hi Margaret,
The methods for both low temperature temperature and heat treatment are well described on the Museum Pests Network web site.
https://museumpests.net/solutions/ . Either method would work for the situation you describe, if you follow the instructions.
In addition to treating the books, you will need to do a through cleaning of the space to eliminate any additional eggs, larva and adults. Also, you should continue to monitor, to make sure that you have dealt with the infestation.
Please feel free to reach out if you need more information.
Good luck,
