Hello pest listers!! I wondered if anyone in our midst has experience with using an insect treatment method called Cryonite (carbon dioxide snow) in direct proximity to infested collections. We've heard rumors of its being used in the museum context, but have not been able to find specific cases, and the company's own page on the subject is of quite limited value: https://www.cryonite.com/news/museum-pests-why-you-might-need-pest-control-in-your-museum/
We are trying to understand whether this approach might be an option for use in one (or more) of our dioramas where materials including textiles are infested with clothes moths, and access is quite limited. I’d love to speak with anyone with experience who may have insights to share.
