Hi Loes,

don‘t know exactly.
The description oily applies to the chemical base and may be dissolved in the
paper. But in case of doubt, it could have negative effects, e.g. like solvent.

Hi Stephan,

Thank you for your reply! You confirmed what I thought :) Do you know if the
oily substance damage the objects?

Hi Loes,

this or other „moth paper“ isn‘t an alternative treatment to fumigation or
physical treatment like heat/freezing or Anoxia.
The chemical „Prallethrin“ works only with „contact„ to active insects and not
inside or through materials.
Prallethrin is a oily substance and unstable to UV light and often used as a
short-time insecticide (Spray) against flies, cockroaches or mosquitos.

Hi all!

Does anyone know more about Nexa Lotte moth paper and using it to treat
collections that can't be frozen? I'm looking for alternatives for freezing and
saw the Nexa Lotte at another museum.
I found this safety data sheet: 81uvHuKOa4L.pdf
(media-amazon.com)<https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81uvHuKOa4L.pdf>

Thank you,
Loes
