It’s all very interesting pesticide versus heat versus freezing versus anoxia.
I can report back that the discussion is still very much active on our end
regarding the object. I will let the list know what it is and what we’ve
decided to do when I can. Stay tuned

If an anoxic bubble means using gases such as nitrogen or argon, that would not

A bit tardy on this, but have you considered an anoxic bubble?

I have a delicate situation that I’m grappling with and I wonder if this list
serve could help.

We are potentially receiving a large art object (vehicular) that has been
outside for 10 years.

Various parties are concerned about pests and discussions of fumigation, heat
treatment, etc have started.

I have gotten the current owners to place blunder traps to see what we catch.

Does anyone know where I can get confirmation on NY State laws regarding
fumigation with poison. Heat treatment has been suggested and I’m concerned
about the mixed media components of the work. What are people’s experiences
with heat?

Sorry I can’t give more details. Feel free to contact me off line. Thanks!
