Mites!  I have the same ones.  Typically I find them in areas where there
are booklice.  Mind you, this is deep in collection storage areas away from
windows and definitely away from plants.  My best guess is they either feed
on microfungi, as the booklice do, or they are predatory and feed on
juvenile booklice.
