They look like bag worms(Thyridopteryx ephemeraeformis) that are usually on
evergreens outside. JTV

Subject: [PestList] Unidentified casing

[CAUTION: This message originated from outside the Foundation. Do not click

Good afternoon, all,

I’m hoping someone can help identify the pest that made this large casing
(roughly 1.5 inches long). It was found in what was formerly a grain bin, which
held corn and oats. The fibers are remarkably strong, too.

Thanks for the time and input!

Best,

Katherine
