Hi Todd,
I deal with the same issue, and have had a small amount of success sealing
cracks with either silicone caulk or hydraulic cement, depending on the
location. They love to be under concrete slabs--where I have them (in
animal holding areas) there IS food, which makes it harder. I've used some
granular bait, some gel bait and some liquid insecticides, but their
colonies are so huge and their ability to gather food from far and wide
(including possibly subterranean aphid honeydew) that nothing seems to work
well for very long.

I'll be watching this thread closely, in the hopes that someone has a
better idea than mine.
